Community Service

One requirement of English classes is 5 hours of community service and a project/paper that reflects on the experience

This is the sheet that you need to print out and have signed by whomever supervised your 5 hours. It must be turned in attached to your community service project:

• Research the topic/problem you have chosen. Describe it in detail. Cite your sources.

• Explain how your 5 hours of work HELPED the problem
• What did you learn about the problem or your community during your time?
• Would you recommend this activity? What other suggestions do you have for other people who might want to help with this probelm?

You can complete this project a couple of different ways. Each project however HAS to include the four requirements above:

• Create a PSA (Public Service Announcement) in Moviemaker for your topic/problem. A PSA is usually a minute long and addresses your issue. You tube has some examples:

You MAY NOT use community service hours twice (if you completed the hours for another class, you CANNOT use it for this class).
